Advice or advise, which is correct? There is only one letter that changes the meaning of these two words.

It is really easy to understand the difference between advice and advise! The first and the main thing is that advice is a noun, while advise is a verb. 

Advice is a suggestion or a recommendation or a tip about what somebody should do. You need to remember that advice is an uncountable noun. But if we need to use it in plural, we take a phrase ‘a piece of advice’. For example:

World Health Organization advice says people should self-isolate for 14 days after symptoms have cleared. (BBC News)

The government has published new advice to help children stay safe online during the coronavirus outbreak.

His final piece of advice was to understand the "uncertainty" when making financial decisions. (Express.co.uk)

Advise is to offer a suggestion or a recommendation or a tip about what somebody should do. For example:

President Donald Trump is tapping yet another group to advise him on when to re-open the economy: members of Congress. (Politico)

Dealers advise farmers to order combine parts sooner rather than later. (Irish Farmers Journal)

Clergy and community leaders advise against protests. (WKOW)
