Passive with Infinitives

This article is additional to the main page dedicated to the Passive Voice.

We use the infinitive passive voice after verbs that are usually followed by the infinitive and after modal verbs.

When we use be or have been passive forms we see a little difference between them. The first one more refers to the present while the second one refers to the Past.

For example 👇

The work needs to be done today.

The peak of the mountain can be seen from the aircraft.

She is supposed to have seen the robber.

He is considered to have been the best football player in England.

The President could have been killed

She is said to be a good singer.

This animal is believed to be very dangerous.
